MicroSECONDS Terms of Service

Effective: September 4, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the MicroSECONDS Employee Security Training website, training platform, courses, videos, quizzes, reports, certificates, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by MicroSECONDS Computer Consulting ("MicroSECONDS," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Employer and Administrator Accounts

Employer account owners and authorized administrators are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, protecting account credentials, managing employee invitations and assignments, and ensuring that their use of the Service complies with applicable workplace, privacy, and employment laws.

Employers are responsible for obtaining any permissions or notices required to provide employee information to the Service and to monitor employee training progress or results.

3. Employee Accounts

Employees may receive invitations from their employer and may be required to complete assigned training. Employee access is linked to the employer's account and subscription status. Employers may view training assignments, progress, completion records, quiz results, and related reports for their employees.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis at the price and billing interval shown at checkout. By subscribing, the account owner authorizes recurring charges until the subscription is canceled.

Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment processor we may use. Subscription status may be determined by information received from the payment processor.

We may change prices or plan features in the future. Any change affecting an existing paid subscription will be communicated as required by applicable law or the terms presented at the time of the change.

5. Promotional Codes and Discounts

Promotional codes, coupons, free-subscription offers, trials, or discounts may be subject to additional eligibility requirements, expiration dates, redemption limits, or other conditions. Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional offers have no cash value and may not be transferred or resold.

6. Failed Payments, Suspension, and Grace Periods

If a recurring payment fails, we may provide a limited grace period while the payment processor retries the charge or the account owner updates billing information. We may restrict or suspend paid features if payment remains overdue, the subscription becomes unpaid, or the subscription is canceled or expires.

Restricting access does not necessarily delete account data, employee records, training history, or completion records.

7. Cancellation

Subscription owners may cancel through available billing management tools or by contacting support when appropriate. When cancellation is scheduled for the end of a billing period, paid access generally continues through the end of that period unless otherwise stated.

Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, charges already paid are non-refundable.

8. Training Content and Educational Purpose

MicroSECONDS provides cybersecurity awareness and employee education. The Service is not a substitute for professional cybersecurity, legal, compliance, insurance, or information technology advice tailored to a particular organization.

Completing training does not guarantee that a person or organization will avoid phishing, fraud, data loss, security incidents, regulatory violations, or other cyber risks.

9. License and Intellectual Property

Subject to these Terms and an active right to use the Service, MicroSECONDS grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Service for internal business and employee-training purposes.

The Service, including course content, videos, graphics, branding, software, text, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to MicroSECONDS and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No ownership rights are transferred to users.

10. Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes attempting unauthorized access, interfering with security or availability, scraping or bulk-copying training content, redistributing course videos, sharing access outside the subscribed organization, reverse engineering protected portions of the Service, introducing malicious code, or using the Service for unlawful purposes.

11. Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, add, or remove features or training content and may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third-party providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, database services, payment processing, email delivery, storage, and other infrastructure. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, and use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." MicroSECONDS disclaims warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will prevent security incidents or satisfy every legal, regulatory, insurance, or compliance requirement applicable to a customer.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MicroSECONDS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, data, goodwill, or security arising from or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MicroSECONDS's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount paid by the applicable customer to MicroSECONDS for the Service during the six months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, an organization using the Service agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MicroSECONDS from claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising from that organization's unlawful use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or misuse of employee or third-party information.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for nonpayment, security concerns, unlawful activity, material breach of these Terms, or misuse of the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and payment obligations.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the Service, by email, or by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
